Remember playing charades, when someone would act something out and you had to guess the word or action they were trying to translate?
I feel that is the way relationships work. The person you're with acts like everything is going great, like they really do feel something for you and then poof, the timer goes off and you are too late. Your translation of what you thought meant some kind of future really meant that everything was over. You were wrong the entire game.
Why do people think it's okay to act like everything is okay when it isn't?
Did you think it would be easier on me if we had a great night followed by this?
Why do people think it's okay to get close to you and then let it all go to waste?
Because just when you find something good, the carpet is pulled out from under you.

I'm not bitter.
I am disappointed and sad.
I am heartbroken.
